Established in 1982 in Denver, Colorado, as Import Auto Products, Ltd., Coverlay shifted to manufacturing dash covers, catering to both foreign and domestic vehicles. In pursuit of a more conducive manufacturing environment, founder and CEO Paul Cornwell relocated the business to San Angelo, Texas, in the early 1990s. Known for their trademarked Coverlay® brand, the company has expanded its product line to include various interior auto parts.
