Looking for a set of traction bars? We have them to fit your needs and budget. From the customer looking for a high quality affordable setup to smooth out shifts while towing a load with the farm truck to the all out sled puller, these can be configured in numerous different ways depending on how you use your truck. No corners have been cut in the production of these. As always, these are built by hand using laser cut steel here in the USA. Best on the market? We think so and so do our customers!
There are three available stages. This denotes the diameter of the tubing used to construct the kit. The stage 1 setup is 1.5" OD and recommended for trucks with up to 400 hp. The stage 2 uses 1.75" OD and would be good for up to 550 hp. The stage 3 is for the heavily tuned trucks with up to 900 hp. All kits are built using only .250 wall steel DOM. Adding gussets will increase the capability of the kit.
Optional gussets run down the bar. This is usually mounted on the bottom side of the bars. The gusset adds strength and looks to the kit.
Both the bolt on and block mount setups are one of the strongest and most unique mounts we have ever seen. Should a failure occur, both the axle and the ubolts are captured. This provides for a very safe and EXTREMELY strong base. The standard bolt on mount requires the use of a top nut ubolt set. This means the ubolt nuts are on the top of the leaf pack. If your truck has bottom nut ubolts ('11+ SD's) you can purchase a ubolt and top plate kit to convert or we have a universal mount to use your existing ubolt configuration.
The block height is measured directly over the axle. If you are opting to purchase our block upgrade, simply measure the height of the block(s) and add or subtract depending on the stance change that you would like. We recommend a 1" taller block in the rear than the lift height in the front for the truck to look like it is level. There are many variables that can affect this though, so this is simply a guideline. Every truck will vary and we are not responsible if you order the wrong size of block.
All hardware and jam nuts are included in the kit. We use nothing but grade 8 hardware and all joints are re-buildable and greaseable. The axle side uses a poly joint to absorb minor road vibrations. On the frame side we use a joint with poly races. This allows the system to let the suspension articulate without bind and have a smooth quiet operation both on and off road. Be leary of kits that use heim joints for use on street driven vehicles. Heim joints will wear and become noisy. In addition they do not dampen any road vibrations or harmonics and instead transfer that directly to the cab.
