Sky's Offroad Design Dana 60 High Steer Steering Arms
Sky's has been building Dana 60 King Pin high steer ( Hi Steer) arms since 2001! They are constantly developing better arms as the years go by. They have now come up with what is believed to be the best Dana 60 Steering arms available. Most options, most features, best materials!
The extra thickness they start with clears thick spring packs, axle relocation blocks, 0 rate add-a-leaf's much easier than flat plate style steering arms. The king pin cap is built in to the arm, not welded in, and a grease zert threaded bore is provided in the arm. The 1/8th NPT zert is not included, but comes with the studs. These arms retain the factory style preload spring, for street driven vehicles with long term reliability in mind, they have found this to be the better option. Arms are sold per piece, individually.
February 12th, 2012. Now designed with Ackerman angle, for a turning radius decrease of up to 22 percent! Yes, a decrease in the overall circle your vehicle will need to turn in order to clear tight obstacles!
One of the only Dana 60 arms on the market that will help you turn tighter! Sky has also designed the arms to fit under Toyota trucks with full turning radius, basically the tie rod and drag link dimensions match our Toyota steering arms now! What be thy dimension you ask? King pin center to tie rod eye 4.250 and 6.625 for the drag link.
These arms also work great on Chevy/Ford/Dodge crossover steering kits as our pit man arm match's the 6.625 drag link eye length.
Arms are available in left and right hand, with single hole driver, and double hole passenger side, machined for 1 ton 7/8thsx18tpi GM taper tie rod ends.
The arms are designed for use with conical nuts and special longer studs provided by Sky's ($20 Per Arm!).
The 5 stud design match's Reid Racing steering knuckles.
Arms fit Chevy/Dodge/Ford Dana 60 King pin open knuckle axles.
Sky's can custom build any high steer kit that can be compiled!
A standard Chevy full high steer crossover which includes pit man arm, drag link with ends and jam nuts, both left and right arms with stud kits, and tie rod with ends and jam nuts is $675.
Steering Arm Info:
The steering arms are CNC machined out of ASTM A572 Grade 50 steel. They previously have used 1018 steel, but switched to a more rigid material (A572). Grade 50 is a very strong low allow steel that fulfills our exceptionally high strength requirements, and is particularly strong for applications in which it is riveted or bolted. ASTM A572 Grade 50 is considered a "workhorse" grade and is widely used in many applications. Steel mills produce channel and heavy beams with Grade 50. It is commonly used in structural applications, heavy construction equipment, building structures, heavy duty anchoring systems, boom sections, structural steel shapes, and applications that require high strength per weight ratio.
