Dual Plate GM Mirror Conversion Kit
We all know the tiny mirrors on the 1980-1997 Ford trucks and Broncos are terrible. OBS Solutions has come up with a great way to fix this problem and do it properly. Now you can use double plate tow mirrors with internal door brackets from the 1988-1998 GMC style tow mirrors on your 1992-1997 F-Series Fords (can be used with later 80's era body style trucks with slight modifications). This mirror kit differs due to the fact our system utilizes dual plates to help strengthen the corner of the door and reinforce the inner part of the door where the weight of the heavy tow mirror lands.

Many customers have asked how this conversion affects the operation of the vent windows. You'll still be able to open the windows roughly 2/3 of it's full range. Here is a picture of one open with the conversion:

Great product. Easy install. You only need basic welding skills to get these on. Little bit of body work and I was already painting the truck so that was not an issue for me. Our OBS truck should come from the factory with these mirrors. All and all I couldn't be happier.

Better than most conversion kits, just be ready to spend a little time getting this done. Instructions and pictures were helpful but would have been great to see a closeup of the finished product. That would help when positioning the plate. Oh yeah, you’ll need to weld the plate completely on the door frame or it looks unfinished
