Upper Radiator Hose with Billet Thermostat Housing – 1995.5–1997 7.3L Powerstroke
This molded upper radiator hose is designed specifically for 1995.5–1997 Ford 7.3L Powerstroke trucks running a billet thermostat housing. The hose is shaped to provide proper routing, clearance, and sealing when paired with a billet housing and will NOT work with the factory Ford RH110 stamped steel thermostat housing.
Constructed from high-temperature silicone rubber, this hose is built to handle heat, pressure, and long-term use — making it the last upper radiator hose you’ll need to buy for your truck.
🔥 Why Upgrade from the Factory Setup:
The OEM thermostat housing is a thin stamped steel design that:
-
Rusts quickly
-
Warps under bolt load
-
Often fails to reseal after thermostat replacement
-
Is considered single-use by design
The billet thermostat housing included in this kit is reusable, corrosion-resistant, and designed for long-term, leak-free service — plus it looks far better than the factory unit.
📦 Kit Includes:
-
Molded upper radiator hose
-
Billet thermostat housing
-
Gasket
-
Hose clamps
-
Replacement mounting bolts
🔧 Installation Notes (Important):
This hose routes very close to the drive belt, so proper installation is critical.
Recommended installation steps:
-
Install the hose onto the thermostat housing first
-
Leave the clamp loose
-
If the hose appears close to the belt, rotate it clockwise in small increments until adequate clearance is achieved
-
Attach the radiator end
-
Recheck belt clearance
-
Tighten all clamps
⚠️ Compatibility Notice:
-
Will NOT work with Ford RH110 OEM thermostat housing
-
Will NOT work on early IDI-style cooling systems
🚨 Important Cooling System Requirement:
Many 1994–1995 7.3L Powerstrokes were equipped with an IDI-style cooling system.
This kit requires the later Powerstroke cooling system.
✔️ Compatible trucks must have:
-
Plastic expansion tank
-
Radiator cap located on the expansion tank
❌ Not compatible if:
-
The radiator is steel
-
The radiator cap is mounted directly on the radiator
If you’re upgrading to a billet thermostat housing or replacing a leaking OEM setup, this hose and housing combination provides better sealing, improved durability, and long-term reliability for your 7.3L Powerstroke.
