Rear Disc Brake Conversion Brackets | 1984–1997 Ford Sterling Axles – SRW

Convert your factory rear drum brakes to disc brakes with these bolt-on conversion brackets designed for 1984–1997 Ford Sterling full-floating, single rear wheel (SRW) axles.

These brackets allow you to use readily available GM brake calipers and Ford rotors, making replacement parts affordable and easy to source. The setup uses GM calipers from 1973–1987 3/4-ton 4WD trucks, providing a cost-effective alternative to more expensive factory Ford brake components.

Required Brake Components (Sold Separately):

• Calipers: 1973–1987 GM 3/4-ton 4WD front brake calipers

• Brake Pads: MKD153

• Rotors: 1996 Ford E-350 rear brake rotors (NAPA #4886799)

Wheel Requirements:

• Minimum 16" diameter steel wheels

• Maximum 4" wheel backspacing

• Single rear wheel (SRW) applications only

Vehicle / Axle Fitment:

• 1984–1997 Ford Sterling full-floating SRW axles

• 8x6.5" lug pattern only

Important Fitment Notes:

Ford changed the inner bearing width in 1994. For 1994–1997 applications, the included 1/4" spacers may be required for proper installation.

Will NOT Fit:

• Metric lug pattern axles

• Dual rear wheel (DRW) applications

• Wheels smaller than 16"

• Wheels with more than 4" backspacing
