This sending unit is designed specifically for trucks equipped with the front/midship fuel tank.

Ford used different fuel tank sizes and sending-unit configurations throughout these years. Verify your model year, engine, tank capacity, and tank material before ordering.

🔌 Important Power Stroke Wiring Note

On 1994.5–1996 7.3L Power Stroke trucks, Ford used a 4-wire chassis-side connector even though the diesel sending unit only requires the fuel-level circuit.

The additional wiring is related to gasoline applications and does not mean your Power Stroke requires an in-tank electric fuel pump.
