OBS Tailgate Assist Bracket Kit (Bracket Only)

Stop letting your tailgate slam shut! Our OBS Tailgate Assist Bracket Kit makes opening and closing your tailgate smoother and more controlled while maintaining a clean, factory-style appearance.

This bracket installs in about 10 minutes and is manufactured from raw steel for maximum strength. Since it ships in raw steel, it should be painted before installation to prevent rust. Installation videos are available on our social media pages and are linked below.

Please Note: This listing is for the lower bracket only. The upper bracket is included with the 2004–2014 F-150 tailgate assist kit that you will need to purchase separately.

To provide a better overall experience, we now offer only our custom bracket and hardware, allowing customers to purchase the tailgate assist cylinder separately from the retailer of their choice.

Any tailgate assist kit designed for a 2004–2014 Ford F-150 will work with our bracket.
