Not sure which model fits your truck?
Model A Cup Holder – OBS Ford
Fitment:
-
Ford F-Series:
• 1987–1996 F-150
• 1992–1997 F-250 / F-350 -
Super Duty:
• 1998–2004 models
How to Verify Fitment:
-
Lift up the rubber at the bottom of the shifter boot to check the mounting holes.
-
If the holes are in the corners, you need a Model A.
Installation Notes:
-
Without trimming, the shifter boot will sit slightly raised above the cup holder—this is normal and perfectly fine to install as-is.
-
For a flush fit, trim the connecting fins on the bezel corners. This allows the boot to drop down flush with the cup holder.
Model B Cup Holder – OBS Ford
Fitment:
-
Primarily for 2WD trucks
-
Found on:
• Various 4-speed trucks
• 1987–1991 F-250 / F-350 (2WD)
• 1980–1986 F-Series trucks
– ⚠️ If 4WD, you’ll need Model C instead, since the transfer case shifter will interfere with Model B.
Installation Notes:
-
On 1980–1986 trucks, due to the floor pan design, the tray portion may sit slightly above the floor.
-
You can order Model B with or without a tray:
• With Tray – Space will be cramped near the shifter boot
• Modify the Boot – Trim or let it bunch against the tray
• Adjust Tray Position – Move the tray down to the second set of holes (slightly offset but clears the boot)
• No Tray Option – Avoids interference issues altogether
How to Verify Fitment:
-
Check the bottom of your shift boot:
• Metal ring with edge-mounted holes → Model B
• Plastic trim ring with corner-mounted holes → Model A
Model C Cup Holder – Bullnose Ford (1980–1986 4WD)
Fitment:
-
1980–1986 F-Series (4WD only)
-
Works with both automatic and manual transmissions
-
Rare cases: Some 1987+ trucks with a bullnose-style transfer case location will also require Model C
Installation Notes:
-
Cup holder mounts around the t-case shifter for proper clearance
-
Due to the unique placement, you will lose some forward seat travel
• Seat will stop at the edge of the shifter boot -
Direct-fit design, no major modifications required
How to Verify Fitment:
-
If your truck is 1980–1986 4WD → You need Model C
-
If your truck is 1980–1986 2WD → Use Model B
-
If you have a later truck with a rare bullnose-style t-case location (87+), you will also need Model C
Model D Cup Holder – Dentside Ford (1973–1979)
Fitment:
-
1973–1979 Ford F-Series (Dentside)
-
Mounts to the transfer case shifter boot
-
May not fit every transmission combo, so check your setup carefully
Key Features:
-
Secure Mounting – Attaches with 4 screws (top, bottom, and both sides)
-
Contoured Fit – Driver-side boot/bezel is slightly bent down to follow the transmission tunnel shape
-
Functional Design – Provides solid cup storage while maintaining an OEM-style look
-
Durable Construction – Built to handle years of use
Installation Notes:
-
Due to placement, you will lose some seat travel
• Seat will stop roughly at the edge of the transfer case boot
• ⚠️ If you have shorter legs and need your seat far forward, this setup may not work for you
This cup holder is the go-to solution for Dentside owners who want modern convenience without sacrificing period-correct style.
