Replacement Coolant Filters

These are the NON-CHARGED FILTER UNITS. We recommend only the non-charged units. We no longer offer the pre-charged filters and have never recommended using them. Pre-charged filters are designed to maintain SCAs in the coolant by timed release tablets. This does not replace properly checking and balancing your system. For easier maintenance of your coolant system, use RMI-25 and the non-charged coolant filters. RMI-25 requires no balancing.

Why should you filter your coolant system?Ā  Watch this short video on Engine block production.Ā  How much sand was left in your engine block?

REMOVE HARMFUL DIRT AND PARTICLES.

Increase coolant life and reduce wear on your water pump and coolant components.

Coolant filters are not a new idea to the diesel engine world. They are standard equipment in most OEM applications for medium duty and OTR tractor trailer rigs. The idea was somehow tossed aside for light duty applications, most likely due to cost. For our light duty trucksĀ itĀ is a very important issue that needed to be addressed. Many diesel engines -Ā like the Powerstroke -Ā are cast with sand in the manufacturing process. This sand is NOTĀ completely removed from the system (see the attached photo that Dieselsite coolant filter system has removed). In fact, much of this sand leaches out of the casting over time. The sand wears away at water pump seals, hoses and radiators. Removal of this sand can greatly increase your water pump life and coolant components.
